  You can start by grabbing a litestep "distro" from http://www.shellfront.org, copying retro binaries to the installation directory, and running retro.

Notes:
• The current retrostep release is for testing only. It will not wash your clothes nor bake you noodles.
• Do not download this software until you have a working litestep installation.
• Before downloading, you may want to view installation instructions from the README.txt file and also take a look at the default step.rc configuration file.

For documentation specific to retrostep, consult the project documentation and the mailing list archives. If you want to see more information here, you would probably have to write it yourself. You can contribute documentation by submiting it at the project documentation page.
